Zeesha Hyder, Intern
MFT Intern
Zeesha enjoys working with people from all backgrounds, cultures, sexual orientations, and gender identities. As someone with a South Asian background, she is passionate about working with people of color (POC), recognizing the barriers POC often face in accessing therapy due to a lack of representation. Zeesha is committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their healing journeys. She tends to utilize a Narrative and Collaborative Family Systems approach.
Zeesha is drawn to working with families struggling to create harmony, couples seeking to find their flow, individuals and couples exploring kinks, and those looking to create meaningful changes to live a more fulfilling life. She focuses on helping clients process shame—whether from past trauma or sexual shame—and empowers them to navigate the world with greater confidence and authenticity. Zeesha welcomes all populations, no matter the specific concern.
With a background in supporting individuals and communities in crisis, Zeesha has worked with clients facing challenges such as suicidality, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, and other crisis-related issues. She is currently in her final year as a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern with Capella University, interning at the Atlanta Therapeutic Collective under the supervision of Courtney Geter, LMFT-S, CST-S, as well as her university’s faculty.
In her free time, Zeesha practices yoga at her local studio, travels to visit family and friends in Tampa, and enjoys hiking with her English bulldog, Kobi, and her fiancé, Paul. She also loves cooking and learning about different cultures and faiths through food, concerts, and travel.
